Our TD woofers have been gaining quite a reputation in the industry in every application from front of house monitors to critical monitoring in recording studios and high efficiency home theater systems. One question we have heard many times is "when are you going to do an 18?" That time is now here.

We have taken our standard TD motors and increased them up a 2.5" coil for the TD+ motor on the new TD18H+. We have the same ultra low distortion and inductance (.41mH on this model) as all the other TD woofers, but have stepped up the power handling even more. The long black anodized aluminum coil former combined with the massive 3/4" thick top plate and the full copper sleeve on the pole mean this driver has extremely good heat dissipation. In fact they have 2-4x as much heat sinking area to pull heat from the coil as most 3" and 4" coil drivers. As a result their power handling and power compression is equal to or better than the best 4" coil drivers on the market. They also have a huge 14mm Xmax, putting them at the top of the market in that category as well. As with all of the TD drivers, their ultra low inductance means they can play cleanly up into the midrange region like no other drivers.
